What should one look for when selecting a coach?Answered By Callie Kartchner, Editor Get to know your prospective coach. Plan on several emailings back and forth and at least one phone call prior to making your final choice. Here are some questions you may want to ask a prospective coach: - What is your coaching experience? (i.e. number of individuals coached, years of experience, types of situations) - Do you have any specific training or certifications? (i.e. ICF Credential or enrolled in an ICF Accredited Training Program) - What is your coaching specialty? - In what client areas do you most enjoy working? - What skills or experience do you bring to your coaching? - What is your philosophy about coaching? - How do you conduct your coaching? (i.e. frequency, process, via phone, email, etc.) - Do you have some coaching success stories you can share? How did you specifically add value? keywords: Coaching | Coach | Mentoring | Training | Partnership
