Whole Life Coaching: Have It All Without the Super Woman Syndrome

by Tina L. Scott

Super Woman Syndrome is an endless and thankless job of juggling time for all sorts of things that include building a career, taking the kids to school and making a romantic dinner for two. Of course, only after you get done with the laundry, cleaning the house and paying the bills. Taking care of yourself is out of the question, when have you had time to go to the beauty salon or workout at the gym lately?

How much can one woman be expected to do in a day? Or a week? Or a month? We push ourselves and pull ourselves and burn the candle at both ends. But eventually it all catches up with us.The clutter and the chaos that is our life becomes too much and we get burned out.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a personal assistant for your life that could cook, clean and take care of the kids, parents, husband, pets and paying the bills? A shrink would be nice to help you get your sanity back, too.

Maybe what you really need is a whole life coach. Someone who can help you sort it all out, get it organized and prioritized, keep you focused on what really matters, help you learn to let go of what isn't all that important, and keep you sane!

The stress, the chaos, and the balancing act-sometimes it all gets to be just too much and we don't know where to turn. We can't do it any more. It seems things are coming at us from all directions. We could shut down and tune out, have a large glass of wine, or lock ourselves in the bathroom and let Calgon take us away, but those are only temporary solutions or reprieves at best. Isn't it better to get to the heart of the problem-to find some kind of balance or resolution for our overtaxed bodies, overscheduled lives and overstimulated brains?

To help put things in perspective and learn how to schedule your time, so you're your life isn't so hectic is what whole life coaching is all about. Re-energizing your life brings physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental balance into synergy and you can get more accomplished. By teaching you to take care of yourself, you can keep little problems from becoming big ones and start developing a holistic approach to all areas of your life for a more cohesive lifestyle.

In this day and age, it's pretty clear women need help to juggle all of their responsibilities along with their individual dreams and desires. The media tries to tell us we can "have it all," but there's really no precedent for how to accomplish that. And perhaps it isn't even really healthy for us to try. Whole life coaching is an innovative approach that will help you examine your life as it is now-and as you really want it to be-and then make the changes you need to create the life you want.

Whole life coaching is a lot more constructive than taking anti-depressants and mood elevators to get through the day.

Personally, I think every modern, professional woman needs one!

Until I have a chance to meet my new whole life coach, I'm afraid a couple drinks after work may have to get me through until I can schedule that first appointment. Maybe I can work it in between work and making cookies for the school class party tomorrow.
