How does coaching work

Now, how does coaching work?

Coaching is usually a structured yet flexible progression. Our coaching process has three different activities linked to it. The process is supported by our coaching model DANCE.

The first activity in the coaching process is that of building rapport with the client. This is supported by the activity of goal setting. The second activity in the coaching process is building self awareness and assessing the strengths of the client. This report details the personal interests, attributes and values of the client. This activity is closely linked to building strategies for achieving the goals. Since the journey is as important as the goal itself, these linkages help us to ensure that the client is working on his or her goals from an area of strength.

The final activity in the process is that of imbibing the learning on the way. This is done through constant reflection on the way towards the goals. In the DANCE coaching model, this is represented by "elevate and acknowledge" stage.

•·          Coaching takes place either in person or through phone of an hour each

•·          It is spread over 12 sessions

•·          Coaches charge differently for their services. Some would charge you per session basis and some on package basis.

As a coaching client, make sure that the coaching process:

- suites your needs and aspiration

- gives you flexibility to change the structure based on new insights you may get one into the sessions

- Is built by mutual agreement with your coach
