what's the difference between counselling and coaching?

I think the main difference is that counselling deals with what has gone and coaching with what is to come. If you've had a traumatic experience counselling can help provide closure. If you generally mess up or just want to improve then coaching teaches you how to perform differently or better. What do you think?
