Anyone tried executive coaching?
I work as a management consultant, and I know that I am not being paid as well as some of my colleagues who contribute far less than I do. Others have told me that my boss is threatened by my capabilities and therefore selective about the exposure and recognition I receive from more senior managers. He admits to giving me bigger challenges than others and flatters me often, but I'm smart enough to know that nobody ever retired on flattery and looking for a significant pay increase.
I like my job and have established great relationships with the clients, so I don't want to leave- I just want to get what I am entitled to without being perceived as a b***ch.
This not the first time this has happened to me, so I thought I would seek the help of a professional to advise me on being a better negotiator. If anyone has any thoughts or experiences, I would love to hear from you.
Worth the money??
